Checking your icemaker
Leon writes:
When your icemaker quits filling the ice tray cavities with water—don't
panic! Try the following steps before contacting an appliance service
center:
1. Turn off the unit by lifting up on the shut-off arm.
2. Wait at least 30 minutes so the unit can adjust to freezer temperatures
before lowering the arm.
3. Once the arm has been lowered, listen to hear if the cavities
of the ice tray are filling with water.
Other steps to consider if water still doesn't appear:
1. Check to see if the water shut-off valve is opened all the way.
2. Consider changing out the valve with a better quality one from
a local appliance service center
