DM-HB-CD - Don Millard - Homemade Blues
Don Millard began to study the guitar and harmonica after he fell in love with the Blues back in 1969. He has performed in Spokane, WA, for more than 20 years with various bands including Crossroads Blues Band, 32-20, Bluesasaurus, and the Hdqtrs Blues Band. He then returned to his first love—solo acoustic guitar and harp—and in 1997 and 2001 he won the Inland Empire Blues Society’s Empire Award for Best Acoustic Blues Act.
Homemade Blues, the CD he produced, is a fine example of raw blues yet it's very comforting to listen to. There are 23 tracks on this CD where he plays the Lee Oskar diatonic harps in 2nd & 3rd position and a Hohner Super 64 Chromatic. On the acoustic tracks he plays a 1956 Martin 018. On other tracks he plays the Gibson, Ibanez, and Tanara guitars. Tracks 20 through 23 were recorded on multiple tracks with Don playing every instrument.
This CD is a must-have for your blues collection!
